Lyric soprano Aleksandra Chernenko is an alumna of the renowned Young Artist Programme of the National Opera Studio (London, UK).

In 2021/2022, she performed at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow with Scottish Opera’s Orchestra, at the Donald Gordon Theatre in Cardiff with Welsh National Opera’s Orchestra, and in the Howard Assembly Room in Leeds with Opera North’s Orchestra, as well as at many venues and productions across London, including Cadogan Hall with the English National Opera Orchestra.

In spring 2023, Aleksandra became an alumna and ambassador of the prestigious Samling Artist Programme, where she had the opportunity to work with the renowned British conductor Sir Mark Elder.

Aleksandra studied opera singing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, where she was a scholarship holder for academic and artistic excellence. During her studies, she participated in the Educational Programme of the Mozartwoche Festival in Salzburg, where she worked on the role of Susanna from Le nozze di Figaro with Sir András Schiff.

In winter 2021, she was invited to participate in masterclasses with Ildar Abdrazakov and Veronika Dzhioeva at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, where she was awarded the opportunity to perform in the Gala Concert “Ildar Abdrazakov and Friends” in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire.

Throughout her career, she has had the honour of studying and collaborating with distinguished musicians such as Krassimira Stoyanova, Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli, Marie McLaughlin, Brindley Sherratt, David Cowan, Alessandro Misciasci, Nicky Spence, Paul Daniel, and many other respected professionals from the world of classical music.

Her repertoire includes roles such as Mozart's Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Ilia (Idomeneo), Bizet's Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de Perles), Offenbach's Flaminia (La Princesse de Trébizonde), Rachmaninov's Zemfira (Aleko), and Tchaikovsky's Tatiana (Eugene Onegin).

Aleksandra was nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 for her achievements in the field of classical music.

She is currently based in the United Arab Emirates and continues to perform internationally. In 2025, she collaborated with the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra and performed at the Theatre of Digital Arts (TODA) and The Sikka Art and Design Festival in Dubai. Alongside her performing career, Aleksandra works as a singing and educational coach at Trinity College Dubai, nurturing the next generation of musicians.
